Dear Parents and Students

We are pleased to report a marked improvement in punctuality to school in the last few months - thank you for helping to make this happen. In order to help to improve this further, and get learning off to a prompt start for everyone, from Monday 23rd February we will be marking students as late to school if they arrive at the school gates after 8.25 a.m.
Students need to be on site by 8.25 a.m. if they are to be at their forms rooms, ready to learn, by the start of the day at 8.30a.m.. Lateness to school will continue to incur a same-day 30 minute detention, or an hour the next day if this is missed.
Thank you for your ongoing support and co-operation.

Levenshulme High School marked World Book Day on the 5 March by showing its students how magical reading can be...
It is British Science Week this week and in Science we are celebrating this with entertaining and engaging activities ranging from small-scale Science demonstrations up to large scale demonstration at lunch time.
We are delighted that Ms Kane was shortlisted for the main Margaret Ashton award for International Women's Day. “It was a real honour to be shortlisted and it was a wonderful event, celebrating women’s contribution to our City”
The BBC have launched two great writing competitions in February with some amazing prizes.  To encourage our students to enter the competition Levenshulme High School is running exactly the same competitions with our own prizes.
Welcome to Levenshulme High School
It is a great privilege to be the Headteacher of Levenshulme High School and to welcome you to our website. Levenshulme High School is a truly multicultural and diverse community of learners, staff and families and this is a very exciting time in the school’s development.

In September 2014 we became an academy within the Education and Leadership Trust, alongside our sister school Whalley Range High School and Sixth Form, and a Co-operative School. This brings an extra dimension to what we can offer to our students and the outcomes that we can achieve.
The ethos and culture of the school are grounded in tolerance and respect, which are fundamental to the Co-operative values, and we are extremely proud of the way that our students live and learn together. This is an ambitious school which sets high expectations of staff and students alike, challenging and supporting everyone to be the best that they can be so that, together, we can achieve our dreams.

Student leadership is a driving force within the school, and our young women are acquiring the skills and confidence to take their place in 21st century society and careers. The school enjoys excellent facilities and grounds and we would be delighted to welcome you and show you round.
